If you’ve ever wondered what it would be like having Chef-hatted meals at home, you’re in luck. Australian Meats and their Chef Hatted ambassador, Executive Chef Connor Bishop, are teaming up to create a series of recipes as part of their home delivery service.

Known for its premium sourcing and commitment to quality wild meats, Australian Meats home delivery service is becoming one of its most powerful offerings - giving everyday cooks access to the same calibre of product typically reserved for professional kitchens. From specialty cuts to ready-made meals, the focus is simple: quality, handled properly, delivered directly.

Now, with the appointment of Executive Chef Connor Bishop as ambassador, the proposition sharpens.

Chef Bishop - currently leading the kitchen at Anvers Wines in the Adelaide Hills - has built his reputation on a restrained, ingredient-first philosophy. It’s a style that aligns neatly with Australian Meats’ own ethos. Respect the product, don’t overcomplicate it and let quality speak.

"I’ve always believed that if the ingredient is right, everything else becomes simpler”, Chef Bishop says. "You don’t need to overwork it, you just need to understand it.”

The partnership centers around alignment. Chef Bishop’s approach, shaped in some of South Australia’s most respected kitchens, focuses on clarity and intent. Australian Meats, meanwhile, has built its reputation on provenance and consistency.

Here, provenance is quite literal. Carefully selecting untouched Australian environments that are rich in native vegetation and abiding by a strict code of quality, ethical and environmental sustainable processes, Australian Meats are able to ensure a consistent and premium game meat that isn’t found anywhere else.

Together, the collaboration will extend beyond the restaurant at Anvers. A series of recipes - yet to be released - will roll out across Australian Meats’ platform and will be integrated into its home delivery offering, giving customers a more direct line into Bishop’s way of cooking.

Rather than overly complex, step-by-step Chef theatrics, the focus is expected to sit firmly on making high quality meals accessible to the everyday home cook. It’s a considered approach that invites home cooks to engage with the products in a more deliberate way, bringing a level of clarity and confidence that mirrors Chef Bishop’s own philosophy in the kitchen.

It’s here that the concept of a Chef Hatted dinner at home starts to feel tangible.

If the delivery service is the access point, Anvers is the proof of concept.

Under Chef Bishop’s direction, the restaurant has quickly established itself as one of South Australia’s most exciting dining destinations. Debuting with an impressive score of 17 in the 2026 Chef Hat Awards, his menu reflects a produce-driven philosophy, drawing on the Adelaide Hills and Fleurieu Peninsula, while maintaining a disciplined, minimal-intervention approach.

The same thinking now feeds back into the Australian Meats ecosystem. The partnership will see wild game like Paroo Kangaroo, Spring Ridge wild venison and Thornwood wild boar on the menu, interpreted in ways unique to the Anvers experience.

What Australian Meats taps into isn’t just convenience, it’s confidence. The confidence to cook with better ingredients, to explore lesser-known cuts and to approach food with a bit more intent.

"Some of the most interesting work happens in the cuts that are overlooked” Chef Bishop says. "When you approach them with intent, they offer something deeper - more character, more flavour.”

Through home delivery, that philosophy is no longer confined to restaurant kitchens.
