In a landmark moment for Australia’s fine dining scene, internationally acclaimed Swedish chef, Björn Frantzén and the Frantzén Group are set to bring the cuisine and creativity behind his Michelin-starred restaurants to Crown Resorts.
Frantzén is the only chef in the world to achieve three Michelin stars for three restaurants simultaneously. When his globally recognised brand comes to Australia in 2027, he will unveil premium dining concepts to guests across the country from Crown Sydney on the east coast and to Crown Perth in the west.
Frantzén’s Michelin three-star restaurants; Frantzén in Stockholm, Zén in Singapore, and FZN in Dubai have earned global acclaim for their immersive gastronomy, meticulous technique and lasting impression. His Australian ventures will draw on this legacy while embracing the local produce and culture.

Known for his innovative fusion of Nordic heritage, Asian influences and French technique, Frantzén’s restaurants are renowned for delivering unforgettable experiences.
In Sydney, Én by Björn Frantzén will be a sky-high fine dining experience with majestic views across Sydney Harbour. Set to open its doors early next year, Én will join Crown Sydney’s elite culinary lineup, which includes Nobu, Woodcut, a’Mare and Golden Century all under the one roof – further establishing the casino resort as a global destination for luxury hospitality and fine dining. Further details about the opening, concept and menu will be revealed in the coming months.
In Perth, Frantzén Group’s Brasserie Astoria will be located within the luxury surrounds of the Forbes-rated Crown Towers in an exciting new space never before seen by the public – expected to open next year, the venue will complement the elevated dining experience.

Crown Sydney CEO, Ken Janssen, said: "We’re thrilled to welcome Björn Frantzén to Crown Sydney. Én represents a groundbreaking new era in Australian dining, and we are honoured to host a chef of Frantzén’s calibre. Guests won’t need a passport to experience this truly world-class immersive experience that reflects his signature style.”
Crown Perth CEO, Brian Pereira, said: "Brasserie Astoria continues the strong investment in Crown Perth and expansion of our range of new offerings – from casual meals at the Urban Food District to elevated fine dining. We’re confident that sophisticated Perth and travelling diners will embrace one of the world’s best restaurants in one of the world’s leading hotels.”
Björn Frantzén added: "Australia has long been on my radar for its incredible produce and vibrant food culture. Crown Sydney and Crown Perth offer the perfect stage to bring our vision to life, and I’m excited to share our culinary philosophy with a new audience.”

The two new venues represent the start of an exciting partnership with the Frantzén Group. Both restaurants will feature a multi-sensory dining journey, combining seasonal Australian ingredients with Frantzén’s hallmark techniques and storytelling.
